So let’s get to it. To make real money online, you must be realistic with your goals. And yes, you must have goals. Many ways exist to make real money online. The difference is in what you consider to be real money. My definition of real money is any sum that equals or exceeds what I have to have to live the lifestyle I want. For you, that may be very little or a whole bunch. I personally feel real money starts in the five figures per month range. Basically, if you can quit your job and do it full time, that’s real money. I would think that most people would agree with that.

To make real money online, you will have to think about how you position yourself in the industry. I like the expression “See where the money is flowing and get in front of it”. Being in front of the money flow is a great place to be, right? To do this, you must first be able to assess where the money is flowing. This is such an open ended statement that it could take you months without proper guidance. This is where effective partnering comes into play. Find someone who is having success, and do what they are doing. It only makes sense to capitalize on the success and hard work of others. To make real money online, it is more about duplication, not innovation. You can re-invent the wheel later.

Another very important thing, maybe the most important, to make real money online is leverage. This term can be applied to many things like money, time, experience, partners, positioning, and the list goes on. Let’s use it in relation to position. If you decide to join an online business, let’s say in network marketing, that can teach you how to get in front of the flow of money, positioning is very important. Many network marketing companies require that you start at the bottom of the ladder with very little compensation per sale until you rank up. It only makes sense to get involved with a company that will allow you to position yourself with better leverage per sale at the beginning. That way you can make more money with less effort from the start. This could mean the difference between getting thousands of dollars per sale compared maybe only a few hundred. It only makes sense to position yourself with better leverage up front if you can.

When I first got involve with trying to make real money online, I was actually in the process of recovering from some real estate investments gone bad. We all know what the real estate market has done in this economy and I was obviously not immune to its effects. I was frustrated, in massive debt, and desperately searching for a way to recover my income stream. I will tell you, the situation I was in made it that much more challenging for me to make real money online, but I was determined to do it anyway. Learn from my mistakes and you can make real money online a lot faster.
You see, making real money online is not much different than making real money in any other type of business. It takes proper planning, networking, laying a good foundation, dedication, perseverance, leverage, money, time and a lot of action. If you miss a step because you need to make real money fast, like I did, you stand a good chance of losing more money than you make.
I want you to keep something in mind. To make real money online, you will be required to do some form of marketing. The internet is really just an electronic buffet offering a wide variety of products, information, opportunities and services. Everyone is marketing something in some way or another. Some people offer stuff for free, others charge. To make real money online, you will need to some of both, and the balance of free and not free is important. In any case, you will have to learn the art of transferring your thoughts, ideas and opinions to the minds of others. You will also have to learn how to identify problems and offer solutions. Don’t let the marketing part scare you, we all have marketing skills in us. It just takes a little coaching and practice.
Over the next few articles, I am going to cover some key points that will help you make real money online. I would love to do this in one sitting but that may be an injustice to you and certainly to me. Please, take time to digest what I am saying in each article. Making money online is a very viable industry. It is one of the few businesses that you that can honestly bring in 5-6 figure monthly incomes with almost no operating costs. That may seem crazy but it is the honest truth. The other truth is that most of the people that get started don’t make it. I am a full time internet marketer and would just like to share with you some of things that I wish I had known before I started marketing on the internet.
First off, this industry can twist your brain like a pretzel. The amount of information that is available is absolutely amazing. Please, think about the direction want to you go in very carefully. It is so easy to get pulled in multiple directions to the point that you don’t go anywhere. What I am going to do is cover 3 basic ideas for making money online so you can get an idea of what mat best fit your needs. This is not all of the ways to make money online but it covers a large percentage.
The first, and in my opinion the easiest to start with, is affiliate marketing. This is basically marketing somebody else’s product. You would need to research some various products first. Clickbank.com is a great place to start. You may choose products that interest you in some way or ones that just seem to pay well. In either case, you would sign up as an affiliate and start making that link available to potential customers through various advertising methods that I will go over some other time. You could also build a web site or blog that would have some content related to the product and attract people to that and then direct them to the product. In either case, you get a commission when a customer buys using your link. Sounds simple, right?
The next is a bit more complex. It is called information marketing. This typically involves creating some type of information that you want to market and then selling it online. The product is often in the form of an ebook or online training course. How to books, training books, fitness and diet books are great examples. This is similar to the affiliate marketing except now you are actually marketing your own stuff. You can now offer your product to be sold by others as your affiliates. That’s one of the benefits of information marketing, that you can get others to do it for you. You just need the valuable content.
The last way to make money online that I am discussing is probably the most complex but is also my personal favorite. Your potential for massive residual income is incredible. It involves online network marketing or multi level marketing. This is an online business model that will probably create the most millionaires over the next few years. Multi level marketing is flourishing online with the ability to market to business seekers 24 hours a day. This type of online opportunity utilizes aspects of information marketing affiliate marketing and uses them to supplement multi-level marketing online. The opportunities here are amazing so do your research first before jumping in.
